If Everyone Cared
I wrote about this music video in my commonplace book and I wanted to put it up on my blog. I really like this music video because of the interesting facts that make this inspirational. I believe that it does not matter how big or how small of a crowd there is but how deep a person's faith will go to fight for a cause. Anybody can make a difference! It only starts with one person. I especially liked the clip in this music video with the woman, Betty Williams, who was fighting for a cause by forming a Peace March. But when protesters came, their Peace March was broken. The best part of this clip is that Betty Williams did not give up! She formed another march and it was so big that protesters could not interfere. While watching this video it somewhat reminded of a scene in the movie "Hotel Rwanda". In this scene Paul (hotel manager) was thanking Jack (camera man) for shooting footage of the massacre that was going outside of the hotel. But then Jack , "I think if people see this footage, they'll say Oh, my God, that's horrible. And then they'll go on eating their dinners." This quote is linked to this music video, which is called "If Everyone Cared" because if people cared enough about what was going on they would have tried to make a difference. It is kind of sad about how true that quote is because many people will turn away from what is happening and go on with their lives as if they know nothing. I believe that we would be living in a much better world if people took advantage of an oppotunity that is put infront of them.
